I am a PhD student majoring in hydrology and water resources at Hohai University, supervised by A/Prof. Xiaohua Xiang and Prof. Chuanhai Wang. Oct 2023 - Oct 2024, I served as an Honorary Visitor at the Environmental Hydrology and Water Resources Group of The University of Melbourne, supervised by Prof. QJ Wang.

My current research focuses on real-time flood inundation prediction that can rapidly provide flood extent, water depth hydrographs and flow velocity field on floodplains. Flood disasters influence the life of everybody. I wish to devote to this meaningful cause and bring well-being to society.

• Feb 2025: Published the first SCI paper “Choice of Gaussian Process kernels used in LSG models for flood inundation predictions” in Journal of Hydrology
• Feb 2025: Received the honor of Outstanding Contributor of the Environmental Hydrology and Water Resources Discipline Exchange Activity of the University of Melbourne
• Dec 2024: Invited by Professor QJ Wang, served as a teaching assistant for his all-English course “Hydrological modelling in Python (HyMIP)”
• Nov 2024: Shared the experience of studying abroad on government sponsorship at the National Government Sponsorship Graduate Program of Hohai University
• Nov 2024: Participated in the 13th Annual Academic Conference of Graduate Students of Hohai University, with a report titled “Improving flood inundation predictions through kernel-based enhancement of surrogate models”, and won the honor of “Excellent PPT Manuscript” of the college
• Oct 2024: Completed the visit to the University of Melbourne and returned to Hohai University
• Oct 2024: Published the paper “Research on 1D Hydrodynamic Reduced Order Model” in the Journal of Basic Science and Engineering (http://www.jbse.net/index.htm) (EI Compendex)
• June 2024: Completed PhD Confirmation Seminar entitled “Real-time and Refined Flood Dynamic in Complex Scenarios by Fusion of Big Data and Physics”.
• June 2024: Invited to be a member of Changjiang Technology and Economy Society
